Joel Schoening

Joel Schoening is a Senior Consultant with Resource Recycling Systems where he supports public and private sector clients with product stewardship policy, compliance, and implementation and sustainable materials management planning.

Prior to joining RRS, Joel managed collaborative, multi-jurisdictional projects and public affairs at Oregon Environmental Council, the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative, Levee Ready Columbia, and Oregon Metro. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon and has published and taught in the areas of sustainable development and organizational change.

Joel resides in Portland, Oregon and serves as the Chair of the Association of Oregon Recyclers.
